Social & News: aggregated sentiment and news

In brief

  • Sentiment gauge aggregated on the selected asset.
  • Sentiment history to observe evolution over time.
  • News associated with the asset, viewed from the page or as a dashboard widget.

In depth

What it's for

In crypto, sentiment and narratives matter as much as fundamentals and price. Manually following socials and news is impossible given the volume; Saturia aggregates the data and exposes it compactly: a gauge that tells you "what mood is the market in on this asset" and a history showing how that sentiment evolved.

How to use the gauge

  • Extremely positive sentiment → caution: historically, sentiment extremes are contrarian indicators. When "everybody" is euphoric, margins for further upside shrink.
  • Extremely negative sentiment → widespread fear. Often coincides with local bottoms, but not guaranteed.
  • Neutral sentiment → the datum is less informative. Better cross-reference with other modules.

Sentiment history

The history lets you see how sentiment moved relative to price. A divergence between sentiment and price (e.g. price rising but sentiment stable or falling) may signal loss of momentum.

Asset selection

You can pick the asset to see sentiment and news for. The list of monitored assets depends on the backend.

Sources

News and social data sources are managed by the Saturia backend, which aggregates and normalizes. Specific source names aren't exposed directly in the UI: if you need them (e.g. to verify an anomalous sentiment), contact support.

Caveats

  • Social sentiment can be manipulated. Organized campaigns exist and can distort data temporarily.
  • Don't confuse noise and signal. A viral piece of news can be irrelevant; an important one can pass unnoticed. Popularity ≠ relevance.
  • Always cross-check. Sentiment is a complementary input. Use it alongside chart, Pulse AI and derivatives.
